Implementation Period: The engineering projects of STAMH Group were completed and coordinated by the end of 2023. At the beginning of 2024, all static and dynamic structural elements of the new Gangway Storage System for boxes were delivered. Even before mid-2024, it was already operational and fully available to SARMED, and its 3PL and eCommerce clients;
Challenge: Logistics in eCommerce requires a specific approach in the design and the implementation of the Racking System. This engineering approach ensures perfect organization, fast products picking, quick orders assembly, packaging, labeling and expedition;
The better the organization in the warehouse – the faster each separate online request will be delivered. The Racking System and the processes design are crucial;
The space in the fulfillment center must be fully optimized, processes swift, and every warehouse location quickly and easily accessible. The Racking System must be designed in such a way that it can handle numerous order lines simultaneously, efficiently, and without errors;
Solution: The engineering teams of STAMH Group designed a new, multilevel Gangway Storage System, combined with a special spiral gravity conveyor module and platforms for pallet placement on each floor of the new structure;
The new equipment opens 3 additional levels - floors, accessible via stairs. SARMED's clients' products will be organized in a total of 9000 square meters;
Each of the 4 levels of the new Gangway racking equipment is organized through a central, main corridor and numerous smaller working aisles.The specially designed spiral gravity conveyor is accessible from each level of the warehouse;
The picking bins are transported to the expedition area, between different floors, using only gravity forces with 0 electricity and human efforts consumption. The gravity conveyor module is more than 9 meters high. This engineering achievement saves a significant amount of efforts, time, and resources when processing each individual order in the warehouse;
Achievement: Organized in this way, the space unfolds vast useful storage area for an incredible amount of different SKUs, given that the structure is installed on just 1 170 sq. m.
The new fulfillment center is able to provide efficiency, even to the biggest online stores and digital retailers. Now, they can enlarge their inventory as much as possible, using the fulfillment and logistics services of SARMED;
The entire Storage System designed, installed, and put into operation by STAMH Group is accessible via stairs and equipped with energy-saving lights with sensors. Only the corridors where stacking or picking operations are carried out are illuminated;
Of course, the new Gangway Storage System designed and installed by STAMH Group meets all the security, fire safety, and ergonomic international working standards;
