STAMH doo engineered and built a brand-new racking system in Serbia

THE CONVENTIONAL RACKING SYSTEM WAS ERECTED IN A NEW FMCG LOGISTICS HUB IN THE TOWN OF ČAČAK

Atlantic Grupa is a leading company, operating in the food and beverages industry, founded in 2001. The brand is a distributor of food products and beverages in Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Northern Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria, and Montenegro. Atlantic Grupa has its own beloved brands, preferred in different countries in Southeast Europe.

The extensive distribution network of the company consists of 17 strategically located distribution hubs in Southeast Europe. They provide Atlantic Grupa with direct, fast, and flexible access to over 70 000 points of sale. The wide portfolio of different products requires perfect organization, fast and flexible logistics processes, fast orders processing, and optimal space organization.

SOME TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SYSTEM

For the company's warehouse in the town of Čačak, in the central part of Serbia, STAMH doo designed and delivered a new Conventional Racking System for 1,441 pallets. Each pallet position of the system has a loading capacity of up to 1 ton, and the system has 4 and 5 stacking levels.

The recently delivered industrial racking system is very stable and ensures quick access to each pallet. STAMH engineers designed it to organize and store pallets with a maximum height of 1.8 m and 2.4 m. The structure has 4 and 5 stacking levels.

To further facilitate the heavy pallets reception, storage, retrieving, and expedition works, the storage space in the Atlantic Grupa distribution center in Čačak was divided into two well-defined zones - zone 1 and zone 2, as zone 1 is intended to buffer 280 pallets and zone 2 - a total of 1161 pallets.

To ensure additional stability and durability of the system, STAMH Group equipped the racking system with additional frontal safety barriers and protectors, at the base level of each column.

Despite the difficult international logistics situation, the experienced STAMH Group teams delivered all the necessary structural elements and engaged a professional end experienced construction team, to install the racking system for pallets in very tight periods of time.

The new Conventional Racking System in the distribution center of Atlantic Grupa is already contributing to the better functioning of all logistics processes of the company, providing better stock control, agility to load different loads, and vertical space optimization. The new distribution center is now, a more effective part of the well-functioning logistics network for fast food and beverage deliveries throughout Southeast Europe.
