STAMH GROUP INSTALLED A NEW, PALLET RACKING EQUIPMENT IN THE COMPANY'S LOGISTICS CENTER NEAR THE CITY OF PLOVDIV
MAXCOM is one of the most important bike manufacturers in Europe. The company exports 95% of its production in the EU and has a production and warehousing base, built on a total of 40 000 m2. At the beginning of 2022, STAMH Group equipped warehouses 1 and 3, with a total area of over 10 000 m2, providing more than 14 900 new pallet positions for MAXCOM.
The Conventional Racking System for pallets in the smaller warehouse, has a total capacity of 4 011 pallets, with a maximum weight of up to 400 kg. each, and a total height of up to 1.5 m., each. The system is 7 m. heigh and counts on 5 stacking levels.
At the ground level of the system, STAMH Group engineering teams designed 2 special corridors with a height of 3.5 m, to provide faster access for the lifting machines to each pallet position in the warehouse. This way, the Racking System is engineered to save time, reduce distances and therefore, reduce the depreciation of the lifting equipment, due to the shorter distances, covered.
The Conventional Racking System is especially recommended when the warehouse stores and processes a large variety of heavy palletized goods and warehouse operators need quick and continuous access to different pallet positions.
The Racking System designed, supplied, and built by STAMH Group in the 2nd warehouse is much larger. It provides accessible, perfectly organized, and safe storage for more than 10 970 pallets on a total area of 7 744 m2 in a warehouse with a total height of 11 m. The distribution center counts on 9 loading ramps for trucks and trailers, one loading ramp for smaller material handling machines, and a special loading ramp for loading vans.
The new Racking Systems already provide storage and buffering of a huge number of palletized loads.
